Hi, I'm Liss!

& this is my family.

We’ve been where you are—feeling overwhelmed, wondering if our kids were truly getting an education on the road. While our travels offered countless learning opportunities, we struggled to put it all together. That’s when we realized we needed a more structured approach and the right support to make it work.

TKA was created out of our own experiences and the need for a more organized and flexible system for travel schooling. As someone who’s navigated the complexities of educating kids while traveling, I understood the importance of having a system that offered flexibility, community, and easy-to-follow learning prompts that made use of what was right in front of us. Our courses offer personalized topics to engage your kids, and over time, TKA has grown to include new elements with every family that joins, continually evolving to meet the needs of travel families like yours.

Hi, I'm Cush,

I had always dreamed of being a teacher and after getting there in an untraditional way - I was happy in my teacher bubble. I ended up at an alternative school that challenged the norm, did things that were in the best interests of the whole child and ultimately made school FUN.

What I didn't plan for was going on to finish my Masters in teaching (on maternity leave) just to decide I didn't want to go back to the classroom 🤣 since becoming a mum and diving deep into homeschooling I realised perhaps I needed to update a few of my learnings.

I am a big believer that learning is not seperate to life, it is all encompassed in our day to day. There is so much learning happening around us, we just need to tap into it. My passion lies in creating fun projects for Traveling Kids Academy that focuses on interests, passions, strengths. All while having maximum fun and learning through their travels.

How it works

Step One:

You’ll receive an email with links to log in to the portal. Once you're in, browse through the available units and ask your child to choose some that sparks their interest.

Step Three:

Work through each unit at your own pace, there are no rules! You get to make them fit your family and travel schedule.

Step Four:

Each month, check back to see what’s new. Your kids might want to explore one of our specialty courses, and we’ll be adding new resource units to the library to keep inspiring and engaging their learning journey.

Step Five:

Submit your completed work to be featured in our magazine and on social media! If you share it on your own socials, don’t forget to tag us @travelingkidsacademy.
